We view the issue of preventative maintenance in terms of what your home has a right to expect from you. None of the materials used in the construction of your home will last forever; however, most will last for a long time if properly maintained. It is our desire to help you understand how to prolong the life of your home through regular maintenance that is appropriate for the types of material used in your home.

Pulte Homes has long held a reputation for building superior homes and standing behind what we build. We strive to deliver a level of customer service that goes far beyond industry standards. With expert, personalized service throughout the warranty period, you can count on us to take care of you every step of the way.
What size are double wide mobile home windows?
I have written to the President of customer service and the CEO and still cannot get the items completed. I was left to be the contractor for my new build custom home. If you purchase a Pulte/ DiVosta home be sure to have an attorney on standby. Pulte had NO intention of informing us of the damage THEY caused while building our home. The evidence of them trying to hide this (from ordering addition supplies to “hold just in case” specific to our unit) proves they knew there would be a claim. They were going to just pull the floor up and replace it had I not called inspection in to find the level of damage to our walls and doors.
Water should not be directed to the edge of the foundation, either in the form of lot drainage or the watering of flowers. 2.2 Concrete surfaces should be free of salts , other deicing chemicals, and excessive weight such as a moving van. Yard drainage should be maintained to divert water away from concrete surfaces, if possible, to eliminate the chance it will undermine the surface and erode the bearing soil. 2.3 Structural alterations to the home must be performed by professionals who understand the load-bearing requirements of the change. The reason that local municipalities require permits for building alterations is to make sure that the structural integrity of the home is maintained. 2.4 In many cases, the seal around doors and windows is caulk.

A single pane window has only one layer of glass in each sash, while double pane windows have two layers of glass with an additional gas layer in between to add insulation. Single and double hung windows outline the movement of each sash. In single hung windows, only the bottom sash can go up and down.

Was your customer service personnel totally inexperienced also? Grout was missing in bathrooms and drywalls turned green with black dots on them! My Pulte Home was more than double the price of my KB home which I sold for a good profit. Customer service for Pulte homes was unable to find the right contractor to fix mold issues, the repair work took almost a year to begin.
My second advice is to be there at the construction site daily, and DO NOT believe your construction supervisor when you point out an issue and he says he will take care of it. You have to keep on them, and continually verify that it is done, or they will just try to cover up the issue -- literally! While it is hard to say to them, "Do not go on to the next phase until this is fixed," because you want your house to be done on time, but that is what you have to do. TAKE HUNDREDS OF PICTURES of every pipe, wire, wall, floor and ceiling from every angle, and at each stage of the process, so you have proof in case something breaks later. Wash the frames with only a mild, nonabrasive cleaner and water. Before using any cleaner, test it in an inconspicuous area of the frame.

Cracks or surface deterioration should be repaired as provided in the Limited Warranty. 1.7 Care and Maintenance Although things wear out, components in your home should last a reasonable length of time . This time will vary with geographical regions, the types of materials involved, and usage. Your home’s windows provide natural light, protection from the elements and a clear view of the outside world. Keeping them clean helps contribute to your curb appeal, but you’ll also want to check the frames, weather stripping and mechanisms once a year, and make sure your seasonal installation of screens and storm panels is done properly.
If the correction cannot be reasonably completed in that time, the arbitrator must grant reasonable additional time to make the correction. If you believe that the correction was not performed satisfactorily or in a timely manner, you may have these issues determined in a later arbitration. If the cost of the correction is not specified in the award and we elect to pay you the reasonable cost of the correction, you may have the amount of that payment reviewed in a later arbitration.

So every time there is a storm, I have to tarp my vents. They are stating that it is not required by code so they get out of doing the right thing. Please heed my best advice about Pulte -- NEVER close on your new Pulte home until the house is absolutely perfect. Don't let them say, "It will be taken care of in the warranty period", because that could take years of frustration, or never get done. Some people in our neighborhood have been waiting nearly 2 years for fixes . The warranty people will hold out until you get so frustrated you go and do the fixes yourself.
NO im not being drastic I have my heater on constantly running and we still need a blanket to sit on the couch in the family room. They have an excuse for anything and everything even before I ask the question. I have mold now growing within the window seal and they call it dirt. Instead of offering to have a company of my choice inspect the windows they say nothing and keep bringing the shady company that installed the windows.

Thirdly, do not assume that Pulte is looking out for your best interests by protecting any of the materials during construction. I could go on and on about this, but they will leave doors, molding, wall board and other materials out in the rain or in the humidity, with no protection. It will get damaged, warped, and moldy , but they will install it anyway. Have rolls of plastic to cover up things, and take dated pictures of anything left out in the elements, even in the garage, to show proof that the item's storage was mishandled.

The ability to open both panes creates increased airflow and ventilation, one of the main reasons this window is so popular. Both sashes of a double hung window can also tilt for easy cleaning. 6.2 Non-waivable Warranties You are entitled to any warranty coverage provided by law that may not by law be waived, disclaimed, or reduced by this Limited Warranty or substituted with the terms of this Limited Warranty.
